Booking a hunt
Other places to book a guided hunt
Sun Up Hunts is a directory, not a booking site. If you're ready to book, these marketplaces and directories let you book or ask about guided hunts directly with outfitters.
The sites below are run by other companies. Each one lists hunts from outfitters and guides and handles inquiries or bookings on its own terms. They're grouped by where they focus, in no particular order, and each description is based on what the site says about itself. We checked that every site was online on October 24, 2026.
Not affiliated. Sun Up Hunts is not affiliated with any site listed here and does not endorse them. Sun Up Hunts doesn't book hunts, arrange trips, or take payments for any outfitter or site listed here, and no one pays us to be on this list. Each site sets its own terms, and the outfitters on it are responsible for their own licenses: check the outfitter's licensing and the site's booking and refund terms yourself before you pay anything.

What to check before you book anywhere
- Licensing in that state. Rules differ by state: some license outfitters and guides, some don't, and many have no public way to look up a single business. Ask the outfitter which license or permit they hold and confirm it with the state's wildlife agency. Our state pages name each agency and what we could confirm about its rules.
- Your own license and tags. Find out whether the hunt needs a draw tag or permit, who applies for it, and whether the price assumes you already have it.
- References. Ask for recent clients you can call, ideally from the same season and hunt type.
- Deposits and refund terms. Get the deposit, the balance due date and the cancellation and refund terms in writing, including what happens if you don't draw a tag, the season changes or weather cancels the hunt. Check whether the booking site or the outfitter holds your money.
- What's included. Confirm guiding ratio, lodging, meals, transport, field care and meat processing, trophy or kill fees, and what you're expected to bring or tip.
More questions to ask: how we verify outfitters and the checklist every hunter can use. If you run one of these sites and something here is out of date, send a correction.
