Frequently asked questions
Why does a species have no page?
Launch species (whitetail first, then waterfowl and turkey) have a page from the start; it is marked "coming soon" and kept out of search results until it has at least 3 vetted, published listings. Other species are not shown until they reach that number. A species-in-state page appears once it has at least 2. Thin pages would not help you compare outfitters, so we do not index them.
How are species and hunt types different?
Species is the game animal (elk, whitetail, waterfowl). Hunt type is how the hunt is run (rifle, archery, muzzleloader, drop camp and so on). A listing can offer several of each, and the comparison tables show how many offer which service level.
